Dr Christian Lang – Senior Speaker at JENEWEIN
Dr Christian Lang has spent years moving along an intersection few know as well as he does: between elite sport and business, between science and practice, between what makes high performance possible – and what keeps putting it at risk.
As Senior Speaker at JENEWEIN, lecturer and Programme Director for Sports Management at the University of St Gallen, he works with leaders, teams and athletes who share one ambition: not to leave their potential to chance. For his doctoral thesis, he interviewed top football coaches on their understanding of leadership. And yes: during a Swiss Cup match, he swapped shirts with one of the world’s best footballers, Mohamed Salah.
His central question is as simple as it is effective: how do you stay decisive under pressure – as a person, as a leader and as a team? Leadership, he says, does not begin with others. It begins with us.
