Prof. Dr Wolfgang Jenewein – Founder of JENEWEIN AG
Prof. Dr Wolfgang Jenewein, born in 1969, studied business administration at the Fachhochschule in Munich and went on to read economics at the University of Innsbruck. He then completed his doctorate and habilitation at the University of St Gallen.
Following his habilitation, he was appointed Chair of Human Resource Management and Executive Education at RWTH Aachen University. From 2010 to 2011, he also served as Academic Director of the RWTH International Academy, before being appointed Chair of Business Administration at the University of St Gallen in 2011. From 2011 to 2018, Jenewein was a member of the management board of the Executive School at the University of St Gallen and Academic Director of the Executive MBA Programme. From 2011 to 2021, he was also Director of the Institute for Customer Insight (ICI-HSG). In 2021, together with Prof. Dr Andreas Herrmann and Prof. Dr Torsten Tomczak, he founded the Institute for Mobility at the University of St Gallen. He also helps lead the Competence Center for Sport Management & Entertainment, which offers the two executive programmes CAS Change & Innovation Management and CAS Sportmanagement. In his research and teaching, Wolfgang Jenewein focuses on positive leadership, the cultural transformation of organisations, and leading high-performance teams in business and sport.
He lectures at the University of St Gallen, the Rotman School of Management (University of Toronto) and RWTH Aachen, and has received numerous awards for his teaching – including the «Credit Suisse Best Teaching Award» of the University of St Gallen in May 2016 and the «Best Teacher Worldwide of the Academic Year 2018 Award» of the renowned international CEMS Programme in October 2018. In spring 2016, Wolfgang Jenewein was named by «FOCUS» magazine as one of the five most influential leadership coaches in Germany. He advises and coaches international corporations at board level and works with a range of high-performance teams in sport. His publication list includes numerous books and academic articles in leading journals and magazines.
